First of all I apologize for the delay in posting again. Life happens, film takes time to develop and edit.
The anxiety I was feeling when I last posted has subsided into an excitement. My first film camera works! I took a leap of faith and paid $80 for it hoping it’d work and besides the light meter, it works perfectly. I’m over the moon about that.
Shooting film has been a slippery and at times steep learning curve. With no working light meter I have been relying on my phone and an app, I have no clue how good this solution is. I’ll be buying a proper light meter later this month.

I really like this picture, its a small courtyard at an arts facility near my apartment. There’s something about going and wandering around with a camera and just taking some pictures of some quiet spaces like this. I really like how the smoke stack in the back sort of seemingly rises out of the tree, like it’s showing how as humans we feel we have dominated nature.

I love how the building in the background is perched at the top of the steps. I guess it’s particularly fitting that the building is the courthouse. Obscured but clearly visible you make your way down like water down a hill or like laws down society.

This is a church but it feels more like a castle. I love all of the detail in the bricks within the shadow.
