Catching up

Over the weekend I was in Orlando to go to Universal Studios theme parks and dine at a Michelin star restaurant. It helped give me new perspective on how to live my own life.

To start I flew from Huntsville to Atlanta, a rather uneventful thing taking up roughly 20 minutes of actual flight time. It was within a restaurant on Concourse E of Hartsfield-Jackson that I truly began my trip. I had lunch at One Flew South, a James Beard Awarded restaurant specializing in a fusion of Asian and American Southern food. I began with the Old Fashioned, a particular favorite cocktail of mine. Easy to make, but requiring finesse with the ingredients. It was to my palette almost perfect, perhaps a slightly older bourbon would do the trick. Following the drink it was the Kamikaze roll, everything was as it should be; the meatloaf sandwich is what really stood out to me.

Overall getting down to Orlando was uneventful and easy. I’ll update with pictures from Orlando and more about my dinner at Capa in a couple of days.
