I have decided to embark on a new journey, well two really. One for personal fulfillment and one for professional development. It is in my nature to never be satisfied. These two journeys are to weave their ways together and eventually split apart. I have always believed that good things require a certain amount of work. One of these journeys will be hard creative work, the other will be hard academically.
I have been desiring for a while now to try writing something. What I had no idea of. I just have the desire to write something. I have settled on a fictional story, told in parts on this blog. How it starts and how it ends are already decided, what happens in the middle is undecided. I will be entwining real personal experiences into this story as well as fictional drama. What’s life without some drama?
I’ll be building a backlog of the posts for this story so that as I go out on the second journey I can not stress too much about the story I’m going to be telling. I think this will be the best way for me to go about it.
As for the second journey I will soon embark upon. I have grown tired of my current profession. So now I will seek to lift myself up and forge a new path. I have been a machinist in some form or other for about a decade now. I have had breaks to try to get a university degree and now I feel it is time for me to do so.
I’ll be starting classes in the fall at the local community college to get my associates. Once that is complete I’ll begin the process of getting my bachelors from the local university. I have already selected my majors for both and will be working on it at a controlled pace so that I will not burn out.
Please in the weeks to follow keep an eye out for the first installment of my story. Then once I start classes I’ll post on occasion with updates of that journey.
